We hope this is one of those pages you never really have to come back to. Still, we'd rather have everything out in the open before we work together. It saves awkward conversations later, and honestly, that's better for everyone.
Every project we take on is a little different. One person might only need editing. Someone else might need help with publishing, design, printing, marketing, sometimes it's one service, sometimes it's almost everything. Because of that, refunds aren't something we can put into one simple rule that covers every project. We look at each situation based on the work that's already been done.
If you've paid and we've not started working on your project, just get in touch. Most of the time, that's the easiest situation to sort out. We'll review it, confirm everything, and if your payment is eligible, we'll process the refund.
This is where it depends. The work we do isn't something that's sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped. It's people spending time on your project. Reading your manuscript. Making edits. Designing pages. Preparing files. Talking things through. Planning everything before you even see the finished version.
Once that work has happened, we can't really undo it. That doesn't mean we'll immediately say no. It just means we have to look at how far the project has gone before we decide what's fair.
Sometimes life gets busy. Sometimes priorities change. Sometimes people simply decide now isn't the right time. If that happens, let us know. We'll stop where we reasonably can, review the work that's already been completed, and let you know whether any part of your payment can still be refunded.
There are certain services that are created specifically for you.
Once work like that has been completed or delivered, it usually can't be refunded because it was created only for your project.
Please don't sit there wondering whether you should say anything. Tell us. Seriously. If we've misunderstood something or if something doesn't feel right, we'd much rather know while we're working than after everyone's frustrated. A lot of issues are surprisingly easy to sort out once we've had a proper conversation.
Publishing sometimes involves other companies too.
If one of those runs into delays, we'll always keep you updated and help however we can, but we can't promise refunds for something happening outside our own team.
It happens more often than you'd think.
If you've accidentally made the same payment twice, send us the details and we'll check everything from our side. Once it's confirmed, we'll arrange the duplicate refund.
If you're thinking about requesting a refund or you're simply unsure where your project stands, reach out.
We'll look into it properly and explain everything in plain English. No copy-and-paste replies. No trying to make things difficult. Just a straightforward answer based on your project.
Policies sometimes change as our services change, so we may update this page from time to time.
Other than that, if you're ever unsure about something before we start working together, just ask.
We'd rather answer a question early than fix a misunderstanding later. It's honestly a much better way to work.
